Duties & Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for developing content, maintaining the voice and being the champion for KCRG.com and associated major social media accounts like Twitter and Facebook. Other responsibilities include:
• Plan and manage the content strategy and social media direction for KCRG.com
• Develop, package, post, edit and manage content for assigned product(s) and other digital products as necessary
• Communicates and works with internal stakeholders to ensure content needs and expectations are met
• Oversees freelance writers and bloggers when necessary and appropriate for the brand.
• Maintain site standards, responds to users’ needs, moderate user submitted content in a consistent manner in tune with the organization standards.
• Mentor junior level Online Content Editors as needed.

Qualifications:

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field with three to five years experience as a digital editor or multimedia producer. Candidates must have the ability to work with multiple content management systems, strong digital news and information judgment, knowledge of HTML, good working knowledge of online audience and emerging trends, basic Adobe PhotoShop skills and some video editing experience.
